FAQ
Location
Westside Costa Mesa offers a unique blend of coastal living and creative energy. Just a few miles from Newport and Huntington Beach, it's an ideal spot for those who love easy access to the ocean without the high price tags of neighboring beach cities. The area has a laid-back, artsy vibe, with local art studios, indie coffee shops, and a growing food and brewery scene that reflects its eclectic character.
Westside residents enjoy the coastal lifestyle (5-10 minutes from Newport Beach or Huntington Beach)— surfing before work, biking to the beach, cool ocean breezes — all from a more grounded, accessible neighborhood. The area has a raw, warehouse-meets-craftsman energy — with many homes, shops, and cafes housed in former industrial spaces. There’s a noticeable maker movement here: surfboard shapers, brewers, fashion designers, and small creative studios all thrive in the area.
- Active Living- You’re connected to the Santa Ana River Trail, which leads directly to the beach. Fairview Park and Talbert Regional Park provide trails, nature, and outdoor space — not to mention epic sunset views. It’s one of the few Orange County neighborhoods where car-free or car-light living feels doable.
- Community- Residents tend to be involved, creative, and intentional — people choose Westside Costa Mesa. You’ll find community art events, pop-up markets, and a DIY neighborhood culture that fosters connection and expression.
Westside Costa Mesa is one of the most fun and creative pockets of Orange County, and there's plenty to do whether you're into food, the outdoors, arts, or just exploring unique local culture.
- Westside Museum- A cultural project reflecting the area’s growing appreciation of its history and creativity. The area borders The LAB and The CAMP, Costa Mesa’s well-known anti-malls, and is minutes from Downtown’s arts district.
- Westside Neighborhood Markets- Community-led markets feature local artists, fresh produce, vintage clothing, and live music. Westside has a growing number of independent restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries that aren’t part of big chains.
- OC Fairgrounds (nearby)- While technically just east of the Westside, it’s a huge part of the local experience — OC Fair, concerts, food fests, and car shows.
